Statement and process
Whilst my landscape photography is fairly conventional in nature, I wanted to try something different and challenging for this second, more expressive, phase of my photography - the pursuit of personal vision.
Working on projects and bodies of work brings focus to my work. Each Collection contains a cohesive set of images that coalesce to tell the story of a concept.
Exposing for highlights - and letting the shadows go to black - is a signature hallmark of this work. Post processing involves extensive dodging and burning to control the visual narrative.
